Happy 60th Anniversay Liz ! #QueenElizabeth

     Can it seriously be 60 years since the Queen has taken the throne? It’s really amazing in itself, but when you factor in that she really wasn’t supposed to be Queen at all then the story becomes magical. Her Uncle Edward should in fact have taken the throne, but abdicated his position to marry his love, American divorcee Wallis Simpson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallis_Simpson) in 1936. Liz’s father became the next in line for the crown and when he died the liniage was passed onto her.

     I think we all know Queen Elizabeth and the multitude of contributions she had made to the world in her 85 years alive. She is an institution and has been viewed through history as a fair, loving, friendly, and fierce Monarch. #2012 the #DiamondJubilee is going to be an incredible year full of parties and celebrations in the UK and all over the world so stay tuned! There will be a major televised concert event in her honor during the June 2nd - 5th weekend that will feature such incredible talent as Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones, Annie Lennox, Miss Jessie J, and Gary Barlow that will no doubt be the talk of the year. So raise your glasses with me and share a toast, “Long live the Queen” !
